The idea

Tanzania is known around the world for the Serengeti and the Great Migration. But beyond the famous northern circuit lies another side of the country — quieter, wilder and far less travelled.
Our 2027 expedition has been created for travellers who want to experience that side of Tanzania in a small group, with more time in the landscape and fewer people around them.

Mikumi National Park → Nyerere National Park

Mikumi National Park
Open, wild floodplains stretch to the horizon as the first light of your expedition breaks over the savannah. Mikumi is a park brimming with life — despite its vast size, it offers rare intimacy with nature, bringing you close to sweeping herds of elephant, striking variety among its antelope, and apex predators including lion and leopard prowling the grasslands.

Nyerere National Park
Tanzania's largest protected wilderness, Nyerere unfolds across untamed plains and along the winding channels of the Rufiji River. Here, the wild reveals itself in abundance — boat safaris drift past pods of hippo and basking crocodile, while game drives bring you face to face with elephant, buffalo, and giraffe. Wild dog roam its remote corners, and lion and leopard rule the land, making Nyerere one of Africa's last great frontiers for authentic, uncrowded safari.
